This full day tour is a 3.5 hour tour of Monument Valley and another 3.5 hours in Mystery Valley. Perfect for the traveler who is in the area for 2 days or more. Lunch is provided after the Monument Valley tour at John Ford’s Point during a 1-hour break.

See the most famous and spectacular sites in the Valley. Visit the Mittens, Elephant Butte, the popular filming location – John Ford’s Point, Three Sisters, Totem Pole – a 500 foot spire, Artist’s Point, and the North Window. You will be amazed by the towering buttes and mesas rising from the Valley floor on this tour.

Did you know that Monument Valley also has arches, windows, and ancient Anasazi petroglyphs? Get the full scenic experience in the Restricted area with visits to the Big Indian, Sleeping Dragon, and all the arches – the Big Hogan, Moccasin Arch, Sun’s Eye, and Ear of the Wind. You will also see ancient Anasazi petroglyphs on the canyon walls below Sun’s Eye.

** Includes a Hogan visit with the late Susie Yazzie’s family, who demonstrate traditional Navajo rug weaving and narrate the significance of artifacts such as the baby cradleboard.

  • We took the 3.5 hour tour and it was the highlight of our trip. Larry was our guide. One of the guests on our tour wanted to see specific sites from a tv show filmed in Monument Valley and Larry made sure we visited those sites in addition to the regularly planned stops. FYI the extra stops were incredible. Larry explained so much about Navajo customs, culture, and government.
